Basic Capacity Development Training for Newly Elected Panchayat Representatives in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand

A batch-wise five-day basic capacity development training program is being organized for the newly elected Panchayat representatives of Tehri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand. The training aims to strengthen the administrative, leadership, and governance skills of local representatives so they can effectively serve their communities.

During the program, participants are guided on various aspects of local governance, rural development, public welfare schemes, and effective implementation of government policies. The initiative helps newly elected representatives understand their roles and responsibilities, enabling them to contribute efficiently toward the development and progress of their villages and local communities.

Meeting with Senior District Officials of Tehri

A meeting was held at the organization’s office to discuss various developmental and administrative issues concerning the Tehri district. The discussion aimed to strengthen cooperation between the organization and local authorities for better community development and effective implementation of social initiatives.

The meeting was attended by District Development Officer Mohammad Aslam, District Panchayat Raj Officer Mustafa Khan, Organization President Parshuram Dobhal, Secretary Rajendra Singh Rangad, and other members of the organization. Important matters related to district development and social welfare were discussed during the session.

Free Computer & Skill Development Training for Youth

Our organization, Nav Jyoti Jan Kalyan Samiti, Kamand, will provide free training to youth in Computer Education, Personality Development, and Basic English Skills. Any young individual can join this program.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Abhyuday Yojana, computer training is generally available only for Scheduled Caste youth. However, we have opened this opportunity to youth from all communities. Along with computer training, the program will also include personality development sessions and basic English classes. Guest faculty members will provide proper guidance and support to help young participants build their careers effectively.

We sincerely request people from all sections of society and parents to encourage young individuals to undergo this essential foundational training before stepping into employment-oriented opportunities.

Livelihood Development

Our organization wants to educate and motivate the people of the villages to select other options apart from farming. Livelihood promotion is one of the biggest work of our organization in the rural areas. People here have limited sources of income for their livelihood as they are mainly dependent on agriculture; that’s why they can’t fulfill their needs. We try to educate and motivate them to choose different options apart from agriculture. Our organization has arranged a livelihood development program where we gave training more than 100 groups in different trades such as dairy, goats, fishery, paper, jam, jelly and many more.

Educational Program

Education is a priority in every person’s life and we are committed to providing education to everyone in the rural areas Nav Jyoti Jan Kalayan Samitee has established an Educational training institution up to the Middle section, also organized some Adolescent girl’s education awareness camps. In these camps, the girls between the age of 12 to 18 participated. Our resource person gives information on various career-oriented education. The camp was organized in the rural areas and also organized in different blocks and arrange various educational seminars where famous people give speeches over the need for education in our life and the easiest way to get it.

Literacy Program

Since the beginning of the journey, Nav Jyoti Jan Kalayan Samiti is working to educate all men, women, and children. Our society wants to ensure primary education for them. Under the direction of society, two education centers were run in the villages of the SIWAN district. Essentially, Literacy and population size are the basic ingredients for the improvement of economic development. This is closely associated with poverty reduction. Human development is end-economic growth. Literacy and education have a direct role in human development and are instrumentals. The significant effects of primary education are the reduction in poverty and improvements in income distribution, improvement in health and nutritional status of the population growth.

Women Empowerment Program

In our Organization, a class is started where women can learn creating handcrafts which will make them self-dependent. Women are the backbone of a society who takes care of our health, house, and life. They sacrifice their passion, love, and life just to make a family and society happy; but we never pay them back with the same. The society tortures them, breaks their dignity and try to make them suffocate in their areas. We make awareness camps among the areas of West Bengal to provide basic information about women’s rights and health.

Youth Development Program

We encourage youths to take charge of their lives; we provide them education and training to do something in life. Youth empowerment can help reduce the rate of poverty to a considerable level. We want to encourage them with essential skills, they can use those skills to encourage others and can become a future influencer for others. We also provide youths with the right information and resources which are necessary to analyze issues that can help them to uplift their lives and environment to take responsibility for their communities.

Vocational Training

The objective of the scheme is to give vocational training to school dropouts by some experienced trainers to introducing in society Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be trained in driving, tailoring, repairing television and other electronic equipment, nursing, beautician courses, etc. On completion of the courses, beneficiaries will be given certificates. They can show these certificated to relevant companies to get jobs; the certificated will come with the stamp of government. Participants of this program can also take part in other training classes to train others.
